The University teaches and imparts medical and paramedical courses in faculties such as Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Lab Technology and so on The University provides admission to some of the important courses through NEET for MBBS/BDS, NEET AYUSH for BAMS and other medical courses. For BPT, BOT, MPT, B.Sc. Science. Only nursing and BMLT courses, university has its own entrance test. Admission process begins with registration which is to be completed in May-June, 2024. The students who wish to join the B. Ed., courses appear for relevant national/ state level examination and after obtaining qualified scores undergo online counselling procedure according to the merit and choice filling. The admission is done by counselling for the merit of the students, their preference for the stream and the number of seats available in the different departments. The academic session for medical and paramedical studies commences from the month of August 2024.
1. In most universities, there would be a notice, either on the website or in the advertisement, on when admission into MDS is open. It gives details on the specific eligibility criteria, dates to remember, methods of application, etc.
2. For instance, make sure that you have met all the university requirements in terms of the education level required, the percentage that is expected, the entrance examinations that one has to sit for among others.
3. It is required to complete the application form for the particular post online before the last date as provided in the given notification. You will be asked to fill personal information about yourself, educational records as well as other details which will be required.
4. Submit the application fees online or in any way that the application form pre-scribes. It is also advisable to retain a hard copy of the form so that it can be helpful in future.
5. Scan required documents related to photographs, signatures, age proof, mark sheets, entrance test scores etc.
6. If shortlisted, then counseling rounds have to be completed in person as per the slot allocated. To enhance the credibility of the findings the following guidelines were followed: all original documents were taken for verification.
7. The formalities must be completed after the seat is allotted; fees should be paid and documents should be verified within the prescribed time.
- Candidates aspiring to join the B.Sc programs have to undergo an admission test and the merit obtained in the 10+2 or any equivalent examination is taken into consideration.
- For all programs, the key requirement is a performance in the MP Pre-Medical Test (MPPMT) examination. This entrance exam is used to rank the candidates and therefore decide the admissibility of a candidate into the course.
- For preparation of merit list, the university may also consider the scores obtained in 10+2 examinations in Physics, Chemistry, Biology along with MPPMT scores. As for the required marks, it is typically expected that at least 50% of the course loads of these subjects be passed.
- However there are some seats reserved only based on 10+2 marks for specific B.Sc courses. For these, generally, minimum percentage of marks in 10+2, usually around 50-60% and above is expected.
- Candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) get an additional 5% in the minimum passing percentage required in the qualifying examination.
- However, in order to secure admission in any university, there are some other standard requirements whereby the candidates have to comply with age limits, domicile status etc.
- It is a Government Medical College that functions under the Christian Medical College Vellore and all admissions are made depending on the merit of the students in the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) examination. Medical aspirants have to first write NEET and pass it to be considered for the admission process.
- For the quota percentage seats for MP, the admission is on the basis of the merit obtained in NEET and the domicile and eligibility norms prescribed by the state government.
- As for the All India quota seats, the admissions directly depend on the NEET score with the all India overall merit rank.
- Apart from the NEET scores, there are other requirements, which the candidates must fulfill in terms of age and academic achievements that are provided by the Medical Council of India and the respective university.
- After this, candidates have to join the counseling procedure according to their rank and quota of their chosen stream to get admitted. Counseling is a process that is done in a number of cycles.
- While counselling the final options of the colleges and courses under the university are open for choice depending on the NEET ranks, the number of seats available, reservation criteria etc.
1. You can refer to the university’s website or newspaper adverts to identify when the application process for the intended MBBS course is open. It is generally opened in the period of the middle of the May up to June in the following year.
2. When the university admisison portal is available, sign you up on the website. Create your login details.
3. This can be done through an online application where one is required to fill an application form and input personal details and academic records, contact information, etc.
4. Upload scanned copies of documents required such as: 10th and 12th standard mark sheets, birth certificate, proof of identity and photo etc as prescribed.
5. Make the application fees payments through the payment gateways anchored on the portal. Depends on the locality they may charge fees around Rs 2000–3000.
6. After completing the form, click on the ‘submit button’ to generate a copy of the form that can be printed later. Also print payment receipt.
7. For those whose names appear on the admission list which will be released as per the above schedule, one can track the status of the application by logging into the portal using your credentials.
8. In addition, those who have been chosen should go through document verification and admission process within the set time at the university.
