MNIT Jaipur has various specializations on Engineering, Science, Management and Humanities and provides several Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate courses. Some of the strategic departments include computer science, electrical, electronics, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering among others. The eligibility criteria differ for each department and program – to get the BTech programs, students need to pass class 12 th with minimum 60%-75% in PCM/PCB group depending on the chosen branch of engineering. The major exams are still accepted are JEE Main, JEE Advance, MET, CAT. For MTech, students must have a degree of BTech/BE and should have scored minimum 60% marks. For MSc, one needs a relevant bachelor’s degree while for MBA, one needs bachelor’s degree with 50-60% marks in any faculty.
The institute is involved in the offering of various programmes such as the BTech, MTech, MSc and MBA among others. For admission to B. Tech in the session 2024-25, students have to appear JEE Main 2023 examination in the month of January/February /March /April, 2023. The JEE Advanced exam is scheduled to be held in the month of May 2023. For MTech, one has to take a GATE 2023 exam in February 2023 examination to secure an admission at the university. For MBA admission, Common Admission Test is held between the months of October and November 2023. For MSc programs, MNIT Jaipur will conduct its own entrance exam in May June 2023 or earlier if required. It is usually taken 3-4 months before the entrance tests into the given school or university. The candidates are selected based on performance in these exams and then they undergo counseling sessions for selection of the branch and final confirmation of the seat.

For MSc and PhD admissions for the candidates interested in getting admission in the institute can download the application form from the institute website and fill it and send it online or can send the application form along with necessary documents by post to the institute before the last date.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
- Students seeking admission in the B.Tech course are required to clear JEE Main exam and merit score secured in this exam is considered for admission. Further, MNIT Jaipur accepts admissions through the Joint Seat Allocation for M.Sc (Hung) through JoSAA/CSAB counselling process.
- To get admission, one has to clear the JEE Main and get the minimum percentage and rank needed for it. The cutoff and ranks are different for each year based on the number of students who appeared for the test, number of seats available, and level of difficulty of the exam etc.
- For the candidates seeking admission at MNIT Jaipur, there are some category-wise reserved ranks for JEE Main only. For example – 15% total seats are meant for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates, 27% seats for OBC candidates etc. The least requirement of rank is specific for the students belonging to the reserved category.
- Furthermore, each state has a quota at MNIT. A sizeable percentage of the total seats of about 50% are reserved for candidates belonging to Rajasthan domicile. These are the closing ranks for home state quota seats, which are distinct from All India seats.
- Students have to attend counselling rounds for the allotment of seats. While admitting the students to the B.Tech branches and seats in MNIT Jaipur, the primary criteria include their rank in JEE Main, category, preferences filled, availability of seat etc.

3. Click on the link which says ‘online application’ and then register yourself by entering the basic details.

5. The applicant should then fill the online application form as and when completing the form ensure that all the required details have been entered correctly. Enter your individual details, your academic details, and the contact information.
6. Scan and upload documents which include photograph, signature, class 10th and 12th certificates and mark sheets of corresponding years as per the required size.
7. Pay the application fee online either through card or internet banking (Rs. 1500 for General/OBC, Rs. 750 for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
8. After filling each field, always review the input before you submit the MNIT Jaipur B.Tech application form.
9. Finally, it is always advisable to take a print out of the final submitted application form with the fee receipt to keep it for future use.
10. After that, check the merit list of the selected candidates and participate in the further admission process such as counselling etc.
- Candidates with a master degree in related engineering or science field with at least 60 %marks or its equivalent CGPA are eligible for Ph.D admission.
- The written test is followed by an interview by the institute, and form the basis of admission into the institute. The process of selection includes a written examination and an interview, and candidates have to sit for it in their respective departments.
- The written exam assesses ability in research, technical or scientific knowledge found in the domain and general literacy.
- In the course of the interview, performance criteria such as research ability, subject knowledge, potential to perform work in a particular research field, speaking ability etc. are examined.
- Also, there is a possibility that candidates with GATE/NET qualification will be given some preference/weightage during selection.
- Candidates sponsored by public sectors undertaking or R & D organizations or other reputated industrial houses may also be considered for admission depending on their background and profile.
- The final selection is made as per norms set out by the Academic Council of MNIT Jaipur on the basis of written test and interview to be conducted simultaneously. Reservation policies are also applicable as per government rules which include the reservation of seats for the SC and ST candidates.
