The Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) Tirunelveli: is one of the noted universities in the southern part of Tamil Nadu which offers the different under graduate and post graduate courses in the various faculties of arts, science, engineering, education and management. It can be noted that eligibility criteria differ depending on the department in question. The minimum eligibility criteria for B.A. in English is the minimum 12th standard or its equivalent examination passed from any recognized board. The admission requirement includes Mathematics group in 12th standard as a compulsory subject and minimum 50% marks in aggregate for B.Sc in Computer Science. B.Tech admissions are conducted based on the merit secured in TNEA by the respective candidate. M.Sc in Chemistry is the postgraduate course that one needs to have the B.Sc degree in the specialization of the choice with the minimum 50% marks. M.A. in History necessitates a bachelor’s degree in History with minimum 45% aggregation. Admission to M.Com involves a B.Com degree with a minimum average of 50%. The recognized qualifying examinations for admission across departments are HSC, CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, OTHER STATE BOARDS etc.
University provides curriculum in faculties of Science, Arts, Marine Sciences, Education, Management, Law and Engineering. Prediction of some important examination dates are – TNEA 2024 exam for engineering admission will be conducted in the month of May 2024, examination for UG & PG courses will be held in Apr & May 2024. Application for all the programs is normally open from mid May in the following academic year. Formats of the application forms are also available online which are to be accompanied by eligibility documents and merit, performance in entrance tests, and personal interviews are other steps for the selection of the candidates in certain cases. The admission is given to selected candidates and then the students admitted need to fulfill the admission formalities before the end of August in the year 2024.
