Savitribai Phenke Pune University (SPPU) formerly known as University of Pune is one of the prestigious universities of Pune in Maharashtra. It was founded in the year 1949 and it comes under the Directorate of Distance Education which is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU). SPPU is accredited with NAAC ‘A+’ grade and has been listed among the 75 universities in India in the NIRF 2023 ranking.
