University of Jammu is a state university, which is situated at Jammu city of Jammu and Kashmir state in India. It provides various courses in undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the disciplines like science, arts, commerce, management etc For the admission in B.Tech program like computer science engineering, Electronics & Communication, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering the candidate should have passed class 12th with minimum 60% aggregate marks with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry subjects. All those students who belong to medical and non-medical streams are eligible for applying for this test. Candidates who are qualified in any of the following examinations are JEE Mains, JAM. For BA/B.As for the eligibility criteria for BCom/BBA programs the least passing percentage required is 50% in 12th from any stream. Mass Communication and Tourism / Travel Management programs do not have pre-requisite qualifications and thus enrol students from any field. For MBA/MCA, candidates should be having a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks and the entrance tests for MBA is CAT/MAT and for MCA is NIMCET.

For submitting their applications, candidates need to log on to the official website at www.juet.in. To do this, they have to navigate to the admission tab and then choose preferred program. After providing all necessary details and uploading the necessary documents, the applicants will also pay the application fees online and will then submit the form.

Some of the programs that the university offers include the following: The university offers numerous undergraduate courses in the fields of sciences, arts, commerce, education, etc., and the admission requirements may differ from department to department. Concerning BSc programs offered by departments such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Botany, Zoology the admission requirement is minimum 50% marks in 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics. Some of the engineering departments in the university include Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and they do offer admission to students who have passed the JEE Main. BA degree by History, Economics or English stream the minimum percentage for eligibility is 45% in 12th Arts/Humanities stream. Bcom program under Commerce faculty needs 50% in 12th commerce background. BBA and BCA programs admit students who passed 12th with least 50% marks with any stream.
UG programs offered under Science are BSc Physics, Chemistry , Zoology , Botany , Mathematics. Arts & Humanities faculties provide education in Historical, Economic, Literary, Philosophical streams and they give BA in the respective fields of History, Economincs, English Literature and Philosophy.
