Vaagdevi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is an educational institution in Warangal, Telangana which provides multiple courses in the field of undergraduate and postgraduate level. Pharmacy: B.Pharm, Pharm D, D.Pharm and M.Pharm are the courses offered under the faculty of pharmacy. The requirement for B.Pharm is 10 + 2 or equivalent with physics, chemistry and either Biology or Mathematics. TS EAMCET, AP EAMCET and NPAT are examinations which the candidates have to clear in order to be admitted to the institution. The admission requirement for Pharm D and D.Pharm courses also includes 10+2 in science stream from a recognized board. For M.Pharm program, the candidate should have B.Pharm degree with minimum 55% marks aggregate.
It also offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs under faculties namely; Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Management and Basic Science. The programs include B.Sc in different fields, M.Sc, B. and M. in Physiotherapy, B.Sc and M.Sc in Nursing, B. and M. in Business Administration, Microbiology and Biotechnology. This is because the eligibility criteria differs from program to program and this can be confirmed on the website. Students seeking admission in the institute are required to clear exams like TSICET, APICET, TS EAMCET etc. Preliminary application for admission in the academic year 2024 is expected to commence from March 2023. Enrollment in all programs and courses offered have different application processes and examination schedules which can be viewed at the university official website for the most current information. The institute grants scholarships based on merit to deserving students as well as students belonging to the economically weaker sections of society for all programs.
Vaagdevi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences Warangal provides admission to the different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Pharmacy. As for the admission, VIPS admits students through online mode or through the traditional mode.
The application process is straightforward and can easily be done online. Aspirants require to access the official site of the University by going through the URL www.vips.ac.in and navigate to the Admission section. To complete the process, they are required to develop an account, complete the application form, upload scanned documents, pay the application fees, and then submit the form.
For off line admission, the candidates are required to download the application form which is available at the website of the college or can be obtained from the college admission office. To complete the application process, original application forms accompanied by photocopies of necessary documents and application fees should be sent to the office of admission either by hand or by post/courier. The admission is granted on merit of the qualifying examination and also on the basis of the institute test/interview for some courses. The institute provides diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses in pharmacy with various areas of specialization. - The selection process is done based on the ranks secured in the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) conducted by the government of Telangana. They have to apply and write this exam.
- There are different merit lists for different categories as per the TS EAMCET entrance exam. The seats are allocated through counseling on the basis of merit, availability of seats and norms of reservation.
- Other than the TS EAMCET ranks, there can be certain minimum percentage of marks conditions in the 12th class exams in Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology.
- Some of them may be reserved for national level tests like JEE Mains. If eligible, students can apply on the basis of these scores only.
- Since the institute only has B.Pharma course, the counseling and the admissions will be for the purpose of distribution of seats in the program only.
1. Check the eligibility criteria: Candidates should have cleared 12th standard examination with main subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics. Aggregate of 50 %marks is required to move further.
