M.Sc Psychiatry is a master’s degree program that aims to provide specialized knowledge in the area of mental health and psychiatry. This is a 2-year full-time course which offers an enhanced training in different theoretical and practical aspects of psychiatry. The program comprises of courses such as biological basis of psychiatric disorders, psychopathology, psychological assessment, psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, rehabilitation of persons with mental illness.
The entrance examinations which are accepted for admission to M.Sc Psychiatry are NEET PG, INSTUCEN – Institute of Clinical Entrance National Level Test, and many other entrance tests of the particular college like AIIMS, JIPMER. Some of the colleges admit students on the basis of their MBBS final year, completion of internship certificate and interview. 1. Any graduate with minimum 50% aggregate marks from any recognized university in any field.
