M.Phil. In Social Work the course is a postgraduate research degree taken after the completion of MA in Social Work. It is a post-masters program, which takes 1-2 years to complete and is dedicated to the further study in the sphere of social work. The program will enable students to gain further professional knowledge and skills in social matters for a career in teaching, research or the management of social policies and programs.
Some of the commonly accepted entrance examination for admission to M.Phil. UGC NET, SET/SLET are the entrance exams for Social Work programs. Certain institutes may insist on extra scores like the CAT, GMAT, GRE or GATE apart from the eligibility of a MA Social Work degree. Another criterion for selection is the performance of the candidate in the qualifying exam and interview.

1. A pass in any discipline at the bachelor’s level from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
