Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Assamese is an undergraduate course where students study the language, literature, history and culture of Assamese. This full time course spreads over three years and imparts detailed information regarding Assamese linguistics, poetry, prose, drama, riddles, folksong traditions and socio-cultural aspects. It also encompasses the period-wise history and development of the Assamese language and literature under the sociopolitical and cultural changes.
