Masters in Commerce (M.Com) (Banking and Finance) is an advanced level course with specific focus of Banking & Finance. This two-year course offers post-learning specializing in fields such as accounting, finance, banking, economy, and statistics. This course enables students to acquire comprehensive knowledge on the consolidated banking structure and financial industry. From the program, students will learn the new trends and methods in banking, investment, capital markets, insurance, and many other service industries. 

The admission of candidates to M.Com (Banking and Finance) is done through specific national level entrance tests in universities like CUET, TANCET, KMAT, CMAT. The programme is advertised and the applications are expected to be submitted early in the year, especially between March and April while the tests are taken between May and July. Rank cards are released in August and students can proceed to enrol for colleges that give admission based on the scores of this exam.

MCom Banking and Finance Course Eligibility 2024

1. A pass in any graduate degree with 50% marks in the subjects from any University recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other Indian University. 

2. For the reserved category students, including SC/ST/OBC, the candidate must have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in the graduation.

3. Even the final year graduation students can apply provisionally provided they fulfill minimum eligibility percentages. 

4. It does not have a prescribed age limit for students to be admitted. No restrictions are put on the educational attainment and experience of the applicants.

5. It may be mandatory for some universities to conduct an entrance exam that could be CAT/XAT/MAT score. 

6. Some institutes might require certain years of experience in banking and finance sector though not compulsory.
