M.Sc (Agriculture) is a two-year post graduate degree in the field of agriculture science and technology. The course content in the M.Sc Agriculture program includes topical areas of agricultural sciences such as agronomy, soil science, horticulture, plant pathology, entomology, agricultural extension, genetics and plant breeding, agricultural economics, and others. The program normally takes 2 years to complete, which are split into 4 semesters. Some institutes also provide 5 year integrated program of B.Sc + M.Sc (Agriculture).
To seek admission to M.Sc (Agriculture), one must pass the entrance tests such as ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) National Eligibility Test (NET), State CET, University/Institute exams. It is also possible that some institutes might admit students on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination, B.Sc Agriculture. One should have passed their final years of Bachelor’s degree course from any recognized University having a valid degree in agriculture sciences or any related field in order to be eligible to apply for M.Sc program.

1. Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or any other agriculture related field such as horticulture, forestry, dairy technology, food technology etc., with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
