M.Sc Applied Psychology is a post graduate (2 Years) course in which the major concentration is made on the practical application of psychology in the solving of problems arising in the field of clinic, education, industry and social life. The program offers specialized information and investigation in psychological evaluation, counseling, business behavior, and development. The normal course is 2 years full time study which consists of lectures in theoretical concepts, supervised practice and a dissertation project.
The accepted entrance exams for admission to M.Sc Applied Psychology programs are: UGC-NET in Psychology, GATE in Psychology, EMAT/PMAT/XAT. Many colleges also have the system of giving admission to a course based on the marks acquired in the qualifying bachelor degree examination. It is also seen that some institutes have their own entrance examinations that they conduct for students who wish to pursue the M.Sc Applied Psychology course.
