Bachelor of Engineering (BE) Electrical Engineering is a three or four-year undergraduate engineering program, which deals with electronic devices, electromagnetism, controls, communication and signal processing, microprocessor, power generation and power transmission. BE (Electrical Engineering) course in general takes 4 years of duration which is further divided into 8 semesters. The subjects covered are electric circuits power systems, analog and digital electronics etc in addition to the general engineering subjects like mathematics physics programming.
The basic entrance exams for admission to BE (Electrical Engineering) are JEE Main, JEE Advanced and the state level examinations. Many institutes provide BE (Electrical Engineering) and the students are admitted through these entrance tests and their 10+2 examination results. Certain institutes also have direct admission based on the 10+2 scores/ merit. The eligibility criteria include having passed class 12/equivalent in science stream with Physics, chemistry and Mathematics.
