M.Sc (Applied Electronics) is a post graduate level course in the field of electronics engineering and is of duration 2 years. This master’s program is to consolidate electronics knowledge and apply in designing, creating and sustaining electronic systems and devices in communication systems, medical electronics, consumer electronics and other fields. At the same time, the curriculum sets up advanced courses in analog and digital electronics, embedded systems, VLSI design, signal processing and analysis, electromagnetics and related specialization elective courses.  

The entrance exams acceptable for admission to M.Sc (Applied Electronics) programme are: GATE Electronics & Communication (EC), Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Electronics & Electrical Engineering (EE), Joint Entrance Screening Test JEST –TIFR GS, Joint Admission Test for M.Sc –JAM Physics conducted by IISC & IIT’s, CPET –Odisha. Some colleges also provide the weightage of the scores of the exams UGC NET, GRE or a valid GATE score besides the merit in the qualifying degree exams.

MSc Applied Electronics Course Eligibility 2024

1. A pass in a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university. 

2. Candidates who are in their last year of the bachelor’s degree can also apply for the admission under probationary category provided they have secured the minimum marks prescribed by the Institute.
