Master of Engineering (ME) in Electrical Engineering is a postgraduate level engineering course. Usually the ME Electrical Engineering program lasts for 2 academic years. It is typically a two-year full-time program or a three-year part-time program in many universities. The curriculum enables the acquisition of complex competencies in areas such as power systems, machine learning, renewable energy, VLSI, wireless networks. Students need to undertake some core courses in addition to optional courses in order to choose a subject of their interest.
The universities for admissions into ME Electrical Engineering program recognize the scores of the entrance tests of standard examinations like GRE, GATE, CAT or GMAT. The requirements in the specification on the candidates usually call for a relevant bachelor’s engineering degree, and good academic performance. Some universities also require candidates to sit for their own tests or interviews.
