B.Sc (Physics) or Bachelor of Science in Physics is one of the most popular 3-year undergraduate courses in the area of physics. The following are some of the major branches grasped in this program including classical mechanics, electricity magnetism, thermal physics, quantum physics, electronics, light and atomic physics among them. The B.Sc (Physics) degree usually takes 3 academic years that are further split into six semesters. Some institutes also have direct 5-year M.Sc programs in Physics as an integrated course.
Some of the entrance exam that are readily accepted by many colleges and universities in India for admission into B.Sc (Physics) are; JEE Main, JEE Advanced, state level entrance exams, national/state level tests conducted after the 12th standard like NEET and CLAT. Most of the colleges admit the students based on their 12th standard marks as eligibility criterion for B.Sc courses but some of the institutions conduct their own entrance exams for providing admission in Physics.
