B.Tech Dairy Technology is an undergraduate degree program that is designed to offer knowledge and technology about milk and dairy products. This 4-year program in dairy science includes the subjects such as procurement and processing of milk, production of dairy products such as cheese, butter, ice cream, dairy engineering, dairy microbiology, dairy chemistry, quality control, and management of dairy plant. In dairy laboratories and commercial dairy processing units, students receive practical training.
The common entrance tests recognized for admission to the B.Tech. In terms of entrance exams, students of Dairy Technology program take JEE Main, SRMEEE, GATE and state level exams. Some dairy technology colleges also take into account the marks obtained in the Class 12 board examinations.
