BA Music is an undergraduate degree program that focuses on the academic and practical sides of music such as theory, history, performance, composition, technology. The degree normally takes 3 years with 2 semesters in each year. In addition, some universities provide an integrated five-year program where the student can be awarded both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Music. The curriculum is designed with an emphasis on both, the operational and theoretical understanding of Indian and Western classical music forms.
The tests accepted for admission to BA Music program include NCHMCT JEE for hotels and culinary institutes, CUET for the central Universities, various state and private university exam like BHU UET, JMIENT, Christ University’s CUET, Mumbai University-CET, BMS-CET. Some institutes or colleges may have their own entrance test or interview for the admission. The basic requirement to appear for these examinations is normally passing class 12th in any stream.

1. Graduate from high school or have a GED, pass with good grades / results, math, English and music courses useful.
