Master of Business Administration in Agribusiness is a management course that is tailored towards the agriculture industry and food chain. This is a 2-year full time post graduate course offering knowledge and analytical skills concerning agribusiness and food industry which includes areas such as agricultural marketing, supply chain management, farm management, rural development policies, commodity trading.
The MBA Agribusiness programs accept CAT, MAT, XAT,ATMA, CMAT, GMAT, state level exams and other standard examinations for entrance. Sometimes institutions also take into account work experience, academic performance, group discussion, personal interviews along with entrance test scores for admission. EMBA Agribusiness programs designed for working students may have other requirements based on the extent of practical experience.

1. Graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university. Experience in agriculture or related fields is desirable.
2. Minimum percentile in CAT/MAT/XAT or any other national level management entrance test as applicable. Some of the colleges might even have their own entrance examinations as well.
3. Still, having any work experience is not required, but experience in agricultural or food industry would always be more appreciated by the institutes, although not always required, 1-2 years of experience.
4. Both communication skills and leadership skills are required as agribusiness management requires one to work with farmers.
5. Candidates are evaluated based on their academic performance, scores on the entrance test, group and/or individual interviews, prior work experience.
