M.Phil. or Master of Philosophy in Sociology is a postgraduate research programme normally taking two years to complete. Sociology master entails a more extensive learning and research in social science discipline of sociology. Students are exposed to different sociological theories, different methodologies for conducting research, different methods of analyzing data and are trained to carry out an individual research.
