Bachelor of Arts [BA] (Journalism) is a 3-year undergraduate course of 6 semesters designed to impart training in journalism and related areas of operations such as news reporting, writing, editing, media laws, photojournalism, and web journalism, among others. The curriculum equips the students with both theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills to enable them secure a job in print, TV or other digital media companies. These subjects include current affairs, media and journalism ethics, communication, economics, civics, multimedia.
UGAT, CUCET, OJEE (Odisha), KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology), Pondicherry University Entrance Test are some of the national level entrance tests for admission to B.A.(Journalism) Some of the state level entrance tests are UGAT, CUCET, OJEE (Odisha), KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology), Pondicherry University Almost all the colleges also have their own entrance tests for admission to BA (Journalism) course as well.

1. The candidates should have completed 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks to be admitted into a BA in Journalism degree course.
